All About Ba Showers

Article by Shawn Manaher

Baby shower invitation wording is something one would think of when planning for the event. Having a child, especially if it is the first, is indeed a very exciting event for any couple and to their family. Such a joyous occasion should be reflected in the way invitation cards are made, for a child is given not just to any couple. It is a blessing, a shower from the heavens.

The first step is to prepare the perfect card invitation wording. The card itself should have a theme, a colour palette. Decide on the concept like focusing on a certain cartoon character, animal, or a favourite color. The words should be carefully crafted, unless you want a generic ‘We are inviting you to celebrate’ type of invitation. Make sure it is cleverly worded and start it by saying something like ‘Ooh la la!’ ‘A Girl is on its Way’ ‘It’s a Charming Lil Prince/Princess’ ‘An Answered Prayer’ ‘Bibs, Bottles and Diapers’. The heading may also be a quote on having babies or any kind of saying that you fancy. Generally, the wording is ‘It’s a Baby Shower. Come and celebrate a shower in honor of (name of the child that is preferably capitalized or written in big letters), on (date), (time) at (Place). RSVP ( name and contact details). You may include statements like what to wear or even what gifts to bring.

The invitation wording usually have the following format: An opening phrase, an invitation to the event by the expectant parents, date time and venue, and finally an RSVP clause that includes a contact person to the event with his or her mobile or landline number. Include a very cute photo like a baby’s face, foot, smile,or things, and finally, word it as follows: It’s a Baby Shower. Come and Celebrate with the giddy mom and excited dad on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 31st Oxford Street, London. RSVP Mia 62555000.
